llamacakeyumyum

made with the remaining apple cake batter:

mmm mmm chili.

I was passing through 5 Points today and found that a Chili cook off was in progress.

MOONBOUNCE! (oh, nostalgia.)

Unfortunately, I did not have cash with me and I have not eaten meat in a few years, so I could not enjoy the chili.

... But I did bake super-delicious-from scratch mini apple cakes when I got home in a nifty cake pan I got from Walmart the other day.

even more

yup, more pillow friends... I think I may end up being one of those crazy people whose house is filled to the brim with useless things they've accumulated over the years.

... this batch was filled with REAL FLUFF (or poly-fil), but I still used old fabrics to make them. I think I am running out of old t-shirts/blankets/stuff though. So sad.

amniotic wreath

s'more rotten eggies!

And in Fairfield County news, this is something to be proud of.
(sleepy Winnsboro's on the big bad Columbia News... boy, oh boy.. Last time this happened it was a result of my highschool's cheerleading coach allowing her squad to do some drrrraaannnkin')
... little do they know the sherif is really hiding out in my stairwell in exchange for shooting lessons and whiskey.

(kidding...maybe)

I hollowed out eggs and decorated them. it was some good clean fun, I 'spose. (the sheet of doodles above was mod-podged onto the eggs.)

Then I spray painted sticks in my yard and hung the eggs on them.

more fwends!

the pillow friend collection is growing.. mostly because I remembered that sewing is great for relaxing/procrastinating. They're a little lumpy, because they are stuffed with scrap fabric/old t-shirts.
... not sure what I will do with these either or if they're "finished", but here are the new members of the pillow clan:

The legs with the bugs on them were inspired by an A.J. Purdy sketch. I couldn't find the drawing they're based on online, but it can be found in one of the sweet street art anthologies at RCPL.
